German Mobility StartUp: What do you think of Tele-Drive?

Sometimes things happen. Take a walk through downtown Hamburg, meet a media team looking for interview partners and end up on TV. That happened to me a few days ago with the NDR. 😃

The good thing: I came into contact with the innovative mobility start-up Vay , a leading teledriving company that brings the first cars on European public roads in Berlin and Hamburg without a safety driver on board. The vehicles are remotely controlled from a teledrive center in Hamburg.

Vay has raised $95 million in a Series B funding round. The investment will support Vay to launch its first fleet in Hamburg. Main participants in Vay’s Series B funding round include new investors Kinnevik, Coatue, and Eurazeo, with existing investors Atomico, La Famiglia, and CREANDUM continuing their support. Project A Ventures, Visionaries Club and signals Venture Capital also participated in the round, as well as former Google CFO Patrick Pichette and Zalando board chair Cristina Stenbeck.

Would you take a VAY ride in future? If yes, we probably meet up 😊
